Being a pharmacist includes many interesting things. As a pharmacist, you get to counsel patients on the proper use of medications, to learn about new drugs and devices as they come on the market, packaging pharmaceuticals for distribution to patients and many more. Most of the time, pharmacists work in pharmacies, and they usually work full-time jobs. A pharmacist possesses the medical knowledge necessary to inform his or her customers about the purpose and side effects of any drug the patients need to take. Pharmacists also keep detailed records of every patient drug use and medical profiles to make sure that their patients don't combine drugs that shouldn’t be taken with another and that they are following their doctors’ instructions concerning their intake of medications. Your pharmacist job might change depending on what your employer needs, the responsibilities will usually go around the management, distribution of medications, medical equipment, and other things your patients might need.

Also, there are some pharmacists choose to open their own clinics, which can be a little more challenging.
