Physiotherapists aim to reduce muscle, joint or bone pain in their patients. To reduce these, physiotherapists use techniques, such as massage, to facilitate the daily life of patients. In addition, they treat their patients to increase their flexibility and strength. (The Princeton Review, 2022, https://www.princetonreview.com/careers/114/physical-therapist)
For a physiotherapist, a typical day starts with an arrival at work around 8 a.m. The rest of the day is never identical from day to day, because one day he can treat 5 patients and the other 15 patients. The more patients he sees in a day, the less time he will have available, either for lunch or to add to the physiotherapy concepts or to file his patients' files. Treatment with a patient takes about 45 minutes. When he has a big day, he has to manage his time well in order to accomplish all the tasks he has to do during his day. The time he ends his day also depends on the number of clients he treats during a day, but usually he finishes around 5 p.m.
A physiotherapist works in a fitness room. This room is mainly in a hospital or in a gym. However, the physiotherapist may also have his own treatment room. The advantage of having your own treatment room is to be the owner, therefore to control everything that happens in the room. Also, it allows a better independence, because if you work in a hospital or a gym, you work for the government, so you have to do whatever it asks you to do.

Physiotherapists will never be replaced by robots. Indeed, this is impossible, because this profession requires a dexterity which only humans are endowed. In addition, this profession requires real human contact, because the physiotherapist must know if the patient is suffering during the treatment, the robot will not know, and he will continue to treat the patient and potentially hurt him even more than he was at the beginning.

I am a student at the Cégep de Thetford in Pure and Applied Sciences. I have 1 year of college and 4 years of university before becoming a physiotherapist. Later, I have several objectives that I would like to achieve. First, I would like to have my own physiotherapy clinic to gain financial independence. Also, my dream would be to become the physiotherapist of a national sports team, like the Montreal Canadiens. I will need determination, but I am confident that I will succeed.
