Most accounting jobs requires to have a bachelor's degree either in accounting, finance, or from a related field, but in order to become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) you need to pass the CPA exam which you will be given if you want to become a CPA, but as I heard from many accountants this exam is not easy.

What are the chances that accountants will be replaced by robots soon?

I can't really say that there is a chance that we will be replaced by robots because we need to human thinking of being able to analyse and choose where to put the priorities where it is most needed, and I'm not quite sure a robot could do this, because there are some human senses that they will never have.

What age do accountants retire at?

Normally the retirement age is fixed to 65 years old according to the government no matter your field of study. However, there are some people out there that can afford to retire earlier and there are some that prefer to retire later. It honestly depends on the lifestyle you lead.

Conclusion

I'll conclude by saying that overall it's a beautiful career, but just be sure that you really want to do office work because this career will also require you to do some overtime from time to time. You should also be aware that you must have some good communication skill to succeed in this field.
